Three chapter invitational to discuss future vision of the PGP
*** Emails from a tutamail account claiming to be from us are fake. We have no such account. ***
PGP chapters invite party members to meet online Saturday, November 16 at 11 a.m. to discuss healing and rebuilding after the February chaos. The process will be facilitated by members of Linn-Benton, Lane and Green Liberty Caucus chapters. These represent most of the 39 members whose votes were nullified in the stolen election.
A Party in Crisis
The consequences of the February coup are severe. Party decisions at convention were overturned. The state broke all precedent by intervening. This intervention disrupted our party structure, placing undue power in the hands of the party secretary. The officers installed by the February coup are now fighting among themselves. This predictable collapse was caused by those who cast aside our party’s principles and rules of order.
Finding the way forward
Party bylaws call for our next officer election to be in December or January. Who runs that convention? Who decides who can vote? And of course, who counts the votes? We invite you to help answer these questions.
RSVP now!
If you can attend, please RSVP on the form below. We’ll send you the link shortly before the call starts.
Supporting membership: the February election was stolen by retroactively canceling the supporting membership of 39 voters. There will be no such shenanigans at this meeting. If there is any doubt whether your chapter certifies you, we’ll contact the chapter and ask. Noone’s vote will be retroactively disqualified.
I will not support any attempt to reconstitute a State Coordinating Committee that does not recognize the necessary Party work that has been, and continues to be done by Secretary Justin Filip and Treasurer Ken Adams.
